Pulled Beef Sandwiches
Ingredients
- 3 lbs Chuck Roast or 3 lbs Short Ribs
- ½ tablespoon salt
- 1 ½ teaspoons black pepper
- 2 teaspoons italian seasoning
- 2 tablespoons olive oil
- 2 medium yellow onions (chopped)
- 5 cloves garlic
- 1 teaspoon dried time
- 1 cup beef broth
- 2 ½ tablespoons Worcestershire sauce
- 1 tablespoon soy sauce
Serve On:
- Toasted Hoagie Rolls or Buns
- Provolone or your favorite kind of cheese
Directions
- Season the meat with salt, pepper, and italian seasoning.
- Warm the olive oil over medium to medium-high heat in a large pan and brown meat on both sides.
- Remove the meat and set aside. In the same pan, add onions and saute until softened.
- Place the beef, onions, and remaining ingredients into a slow cooker and cook on high for 3-4 hours or low for 6-8 hours.
- When cooked, remove the beef from the slow cooker and shred with forks.
- The remaining sauce in the slow cooker can be used as au jus to dip sandwiches in if desired.
- If making into sandwiches, toast hoagies with the provolone and then place the pulled beef into them and serve.
