The Perfect Burger Recipe

Ingredients

  • 2 lbs Born & Raised Grass-Fed Ground Beef
  • ½ cup crushed crackers or bread crumbs
  • 1 large egg
  • 2 tablespoons Worcestershire sauce
  • 2 cloves garlic (minced)
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon onion powder
  • ½ teaspoon black pepper

Directions

  1. In a large mixing bowl, add ground beef, crackers or bread crumbs, egg, Worcestershire sauce, salt, garlic powder, onion powder, and pepper. Mix together lightly until well mixed. The more you handle the meat the tougher the mix the more the fibers in the meat work and more likely to toughen up.
  2. Divide the meat mixture into ⅓ pound portions or if wanting thinner burgers for double meat burgers, take ⅓ pound portions and divide into 2 patties.
  3. Softly shape into patties a little larger than the buns you plan to use and then use your thumb or the backside of a spoon to make a small indention in the center of the patty to keep them from puffing up.
  4. Preheat your grill or stove to medium to medium-high heat.
  5. Grill or sear the patties for 3-4 minutes per side if doing ⅓ pound burgers or about 2 minutes per side if doing thin patties.
  6. If making cheeseburgers, you can add the cheese about a minute before they are done or as soon as you take them off the grill or stove.
